Underwood Baptist Church is a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger. We are a community of believers. 

 

Underwood Baptist Church strives to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Underwood Baptist Church makes an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city changed.

 

Underwood Baptist Church highly values our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

LOVE GOD

We exist to honor, exalt and glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is not about us. It is all about Him. Because we have been changed by His great love for us, we want to provide opportunities to express our love back to Him through worship, obedience, service and growing in our personal relationship with Him.

LOVE PEOPLE

We exist to express our love for God by loving one another. God has brought us together to encourage, equip and minister to one another. This is what it means to be a part of God's family here at Underwood.

 

We exist to share the love of God with everyone we can both locally and globally. It is our desire to go outside our walls with the gospel message and be a verbal witness and a living demonstration of the love of God.

WHAT TO EXPECT

COME AS YOU ARE

Walking through our doors we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. You will see people of all ages wearing “Sunday best” to “business casual.” While we do believe that an important part of worship is giving our best to God, we also believe the biblical truth that “man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” It is our wish that you will feel comfortable being yourself at Underwood Baptist Church.

BRING YOUR FRIENDS

You should expect to be warmly welcomed by greeters and people who are glad you’ve come. Underwood is a church that believes in dynamic, practical, Biblical preaching and exciting worship that touches the hearts of people from all ages and stages of life. So feel free to bring friends and family with you!

Guest parking is provided and clearly marked at the County Road 57 entrances. Simply follow the signs and park in the area nearest our Welcome Center (Just to the right of the playground). Click here for further location information.

 

Our greeters will be available to assist you at any of our entrances. Stop by one of our welcome desks in the Welcome Center, Worship Center or Children's Building to receive information concerning our ministries and how we can minister to you.
